PURPOSE:
Award contract for Chesapeake Boulevard Drainage Improvements Project in accordance with City Code Section 3.10.040.
BACKGROUND:
In January of 2015 staff performed a consultant selection process to obtain construction management services. The selection process used by staff was a qualifications based process, which required response to an RFQ and subsequent interviews. Carollo was chosen by the selection committee to provide construction management services to the City.
On August 17, 2015, sealed bids were opened for the Chesapeake Boulevard Drainage Improvements Project
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
The project will help to stabilize Chesapeake Boulevard during storm events, provide a safer roadway for the public and lessen costs of cleanup.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds are available in the Chesapeake Blvd. Drainage Improvements Project DR1000 in the amount of $45,000.00. The additional $122,600.00 will be transferred from Project ST2930 Drainage Improvement Program. Both projects are budgeted in the Flood Control Fund.
