PURPOSE:
To consider adoption of a resolution establishing City Manager, Jess Knudson, as the Authorized Representative and Fire Chief, Peter Pilafas, as Alternate Authorized Representative to the Department of Emergency and Military Affairs (DEMA).
BACKGROUND:
The DEMA Public Assistance Program and Hazard Mitigation Planning requires potential grant applicants to appoint an applicant’s Authorized Representative and possibly an Alternative Authorized Representative. Designating an Alternate Authorized Representative helps facilitate the flow of work for all parties involved so that there are no obstacles due to strictly paperwork compliance issues
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
The adoption of the resolution allows Lake Havasu City to take advantage of DEMA Public Assistance Program and Hazard Mitigation Planning resources.

I move to adopt Resolution No. 24-3780 approving the designation of the City Manager as Department of Emergency and Military Affairs Authorized Representative and the Fire Chief as the Alternate Authorized Representative and authorizing the representatives to execute and deliver applications.
