PURPOSE:
To consider a Construction Contract 500409 with Perco Rock Company for the Havasupai Wash 6 in accordance with City Code §§ 3.10.010.2 (A.R.S. Title 34) and 3.10.030.1.
BACKGROUND:
As part of the Wash Stabilization Program, the City commissioned a two-part study to evaluate, prioritize and recommend improvements for the system of washes within the City boundaries. Havasupai Wash 6, located between Sandwood Drive and Bombay Drive, is listed as the sixth worst reach in our City limits.
The City selected Kimley Horn and Associates to prepare the plans and specifications for the proposed project.
On September 4, 2024, eight (8) bids were received.
The lowest responsive, responsible bidder is:
Perco Rock Company
Base Bid plus Force Account: $685,109
Base Bid plus Additive Alternate plus Force Account: $936,389
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
This project will provide drainage improvements and slope stabilization measures to an important wash in our city.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Flood Control Fund Funds are allocated and available in the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Capital Improvement Plan in the amount of $2,000,000.
