PURPOSE:
To approve the cooperative purchase of six (6) off road vehicles utilizing Sourcewell’s Cooperative Purchase Contract 012220-PSI under the City’s cooperative purchase agreement, 500288, with Polaris Sales, Inc., in accordance with City Code § 3.10.010.2(A)(1).
BACKGROUND:
The Lake Havasu City Public Works Department, Vehicle Maintenance Division, is requesting the approval to purchase four (4) 2024 Polaris Ranger XP 1000’s Northstar Edition Premium vehicles for the Water Utility Fund, Administrative Services Department, Customer Service Division (meter reading), and two (2) Polaris Ranger SP 570’s vehicles for the Public Works Wastewater Division. These will replace existing vehicles in these divisions. The total cost of this purchase is $134,630.34 plus applicable taxes.
Vehicles that are being replaced have met or exceed the recommended 32 points for replacement. Points are determined based on age, mileage, condition, maintenance history, and reliabilty.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
Providing a cost effective and reliable fleet of vehicles and equipment allows Lake Havasu City departments and divisions to meet their goals of providing efficient and effective services, utilities, and programs for the community.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds in the amount of $106,487.21 plus applicable taxes are allocated and available in the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Water Utility Fund.
Funds in the amount of $28,143.13 plus applicable taxes are allocated and available in the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Wastewater Utility Fund.
