PURPOSE:
To adopt a resolution appointing regular members to the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board due to upcoming vacancies of regular member positions.
BACKGROUND:
The City Clerk’s office received 9 applications requesting consideration for appointment as regular members to the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board. Appointments are necessary to fill the upcoming vacancies of three (3) regular member positions.
The Application Review Panel conducted interviews for the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board on June 13, and June 17, 2024, and recommends that Ashley Pascual and Kyler Cox be reappointed as regular members, and Karen Cooper be appointed as a regular member with terms ending June 30, 2027.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
Board, committee, and commission members play a pivotal role in providing guidance and direction on numerous issues that develop our community.
