PURPOSE:
To adopt a resolution appointing regular and alternate members to the Planning & Zoning Commission due to upcoming vacancies of regular and alternate members.
BACKGROUND:
The City Clerk’s office received 15 applications requesting consideration for appointment as a member to the Planning & Zoning Commission. Appointments are necessary to fill the upcoming vacancies of three (3) regular member and two (2) alternate member positions.
The Application Review Panel conducted interviews for the Planning & Zoning Commission on June 10, and June 19, 2024, and recommends that David Diaz, Gabriele Medley, and Jim Harris be reappointed as regular members with terms ending June 30, 2027, and that Lonnie Stevenson be reappointed as an alternate member and Mary Costa be appointed as an alternate member with terms ending June 30, 2026.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
Board, committee, and commission members play a pivotal role in providing guidance and direction on numerous issues that develop our community.
